The idea, organization and theme of the exhibition are characterized by the same pleasant chaos and unpredictability. The presented material, as a result of spontaneous and aesthetic recycling, creates an experience that can have many shades and aspects. Drawings and drawings that are difficult to define, creations of hands and more, here and there, in the margins, on just about anything, by accident, due to boredom, exploiting various materials or other fleeting affect. We have made an attempt to show and recombine a material that is ignored and inherently degraded. The well-known strategy of rejected and found art shows its new face. These are not traces of the great deceased masters, which, as we know today, enjoy great recognition, or anonymous or appropriated items. For this, most of them were intended a priori for a drawer or for loss. The authors are only young people, more or less involved in the world of art. The charm of scribble and other “works of the moment” is usually appreciated in the case of a return and a sentimental retrospective. Here it works differently, because the exhibition is not a lonely review of old products, but a public show about interpersonal matters, about the internal and external observation of the world. MARGINAL is an attempt to interpret an interesting phenomenon of extremely ephemeral art – art that does not know what it is.
Pomysł, organizacje i tematykę wystawy cechuje ta sama przyjemna chaotyczność i nieprzewidywalność. Przedstawiony materiał jako efekt spontanicznego i estetycznego recyklingu skłania do doznania, które może mieć wiele odcieni i aspektów. Trudne do zdefiniowania rysunki i rysuneczki, wytwory rąk i nie tylko, tu i tam, na marginesach, na byle czym, przypadkiem, z powodu nudy, wyżywania się na różnym materiale czy w innym ulotnym afekcie. Podjęliśmy próbę ukazania i rekombinacji tworzywa ignorowanego i z natury poniżonego. Znana strategia sztuki odrzuconej i znalezionej pokazuje swoje nowe oblicze. Nie są to ślady po wielkich zmarłych mistrzach, które jak wiadomo dziś cieszą się ogromnym uznaniem, ani też przedmioty anonimowe czy zawłaszczone. Do tego w większości przeznaczone były a priori do szuflady lub na stracenie. Autorami są wyłącznie ludzie młodzi, mniej lub bardziej zaangażowani w świat sztuki. Urok bazgraniny i innych „dzieł chwili” docenia się zwykle w sytuacji powrotu i sentymentalnej retrospektywy.
Tutaj działa to inaczej, gdyż wystawa to nie samotny przegląd starych wytworów, ale publiczny pokaz traktujący o sprawach międzyludzkich, o wewnętrznej i zewnętrznej obserwacji świata. MARGINAL to o próba interpretacji interesującego zjawiska sztuki skrajnie efemerycznej – sztuki, która nie wie czym jest.
