I stand before choosing every day for a lifetime.
For breakfast eat sandwich or toast? Dress up in sweat pants or jeans?
Go to the cinema or an exhibition?
There is no insignificant choices because each one of them decides how I will use entrusted me time.
Each one can have an impact on my life or not have it at all and I have no influence on which, and when.
How do you know you will not choke on toast?
whether in the cinema you will not meet “the only one” which will colour your life till the dead release you?
Is it exactly “the only one”? Or will there be different one?
I am not able to predict most of the events in my life, even if sometimes I succumb to this illusion. Planning and control is just an delusion.
The only real value is ACTION or INACTION, the effects of which may be desirable or quite the opposite.
I have no influence on it either.
Lead calm, schematic existence on a secure job vacancy with a stable salary and secured retirement?
Whether at the expense of time, money, and relationships with loved ones devote yourself to the passion which can take away more than give?
Or perhaps there is a middle ground?
The exhibition “CHOICE” is a kind of tribute to those reflections.
The selection of works exhibited is intended to bring out the essence of my life decisions.
Also illustrates the nature of authors work and the direction in which follows.
Stoję przed wyborem każdego dnia przez całe życie.
Czy na śniadanie zjeść kanapkę, czy tosta? Ubrać się w dżinsy czy dres?
Pójść do kina, czy na wystawę?
Nie ma nieistotnych wyborów bo każdy decyduje o tym jak zagospodaruję powierzony mi czas.
Każdy z nich może mieć wpływ na całe moje życie lub nie mieć go wcale a ja nie mam wpływu na to, który i kiedy.
Skąd wiesz czy akurat tostem się nie zadławisz? Czy w kinie nie spotkasz „tej jedynej”, która będzie ubarwiała Twoje życie dopóki śmierć Was nie uwolni?
Czy to akurat „ta jedyna”? Czy może będzie inna?
Nie jestem w stanie przewidzieć większości zdarzeń w moim życiu nawet jeśli czasem ulegam takiej iluzji. Planowanie i kontrola jest tylko złudzeniem.
Jedyną rzeczywistą wartością jest DZIAŁANIE lub jego BRAK, których efekty mogą być pożądane lub zupełnie odwrotne. Na to też nie mam wpływu.
Wieść spokojne, schematyczne życie na stałej posadzie ze stabilną pensją i zabezpieczoną emeryturą?
Czy kosztem czasu, pieniędzy i relacji z bliskimi poświęcić się pasji, która może zabrać więcej niż dać?
A może istnieje złoty środek?
Wystawa „Wybór” jest swego rodzaju hołdem dla tych przemyśleń.
Selekcja eksponowanych prac ma wydobyć esencję podejmowanych w życiu decyzji.
Ilustruje też charakter twórczości autora i kierunek, w którym podąża.
